Treo 700w是palm公司推出的第一款采用非palm os操作系统的智能手机，很有幸能够拿到这台评测样机，因为网络原因，Treo 700w会自动连上联通CDMA 1X网络，并且可以拨打客服电话，想必要在国内使用700w并不是不可能的事。

在CES大会上，PALM公司首款基于Windows操作系统的700W智能手机成为绝对众人关注的焦点。这一次微软公司、PALM公司以及Verizon公司共同为全球智能手机爱好者联手献上了一份真正的大餐。虽然PALM公司之前推出的基于PALM操作系统的Treo系列智能手机产品都获得了相当不错的口碑，但这次PALM公司和微软公司展开的这一次合作能够让PALM公司获得更大的市场空间。由于Treo 700W手机主要针对专业级用户，因此这次在操作系统上的转变也将预示着PALM公司新一轮的快速增长的开始。但另一方面，PALM系列产品的忠实FANS们却可能会因为Treo 700W产生抵制情绪。

在操作系统方面，Treo 700w 预装了 Windows Mobile 5.0 for PPC 版，硬件配置方面，Treo 700w 采用了 312 MHz 的 Inrel XScale 处理器，并且配备了 128M 的 ROM ，除系统外还有60M用户可用。该手机支持 CDMA 800/1900MHz 网络并且对 BroadbandAccess 提供支持。

Treo 700w给人的第一印象就是一款商务手机，采用银灰色机身设计给人以稳重大气的感觉。机身尺寸为2.3 x 0.9 x 4.4 英寸，大小与Tereo 650一样。
